London Sports Trust Urban Athletics We kick started our Urban Athletics program on Sunday the 16th at the W12 Fest! It was a fantastic day, with over 250 people joining in and using our pop up track. We were lucky enough to have the wonderful GB athlete, Nigel Levine join us for the day, where he helped show the kids how to become a champ as well as teaching us a trick or two! We have got two sessions running throughout the summer and then weekly, with one being in White City estate and the other at Townmead estate. These two estates are based in the top 10% in the UK in terms of deprivation, with high crime rates and are both in the top 5% for income deprivation. We are trying to show young

Get Involved, Get Active The feelgood factor of physical fitness is globally renowned. But as time becomes more and more accutely of the essence, finding the opportunity to fit getting and keeping fit into our busy working schedules is becoming increasingly hard to find. Whether it's the morning jog, the odd set of badminton of an evening, or hitting the gym like a maniac at the weekend, putting aside diary time for those activities is becoming secondary to the work itself and the consequences are becoming obvious.
