Place2play New home!!!

Time out Together on a city farm

On the 18thSeptember, London Sports Trust organised a ‘Time out Together’ morning of activities on a city farm for parents and carers of dependants with special needs. We believe that wellbeing activities such as farming and gardening are hugely beneficial for parents and carers, providing them with a mental release from daily stressors that come with caring for special needs children. Overall, we created a fun and enjoyable experience for 13 super mums. The event was a huge success with big smiles and laughter all round. The ladies absolutely loved the day and were able to make their own meals at home from the produce they harvested at the farm.

Paddle & Firework extravaganza!

A great time was had by all, and all the funds raised went back into our kayaking programme for children in the local area. It was a really special night, and considering how appalling the weather was, we really want send a massive thank you to everyone who join us. Watch out for some winter paddles coming up, and also a special Christmas trip on the river! Seasons Greetings from John,
