Think Active & Time Out Together

Every person should have an inspirational Place to Play

Think Active is London Sports Trust's adults and family physical activity programme. The aim is to get inactive Londoners more involved in exercise through fun and innovative sports activities. This programme is currently being delivered in Westminster. By providing residents with opportunities to be more active in an inclusive and social way we are helping to create a legacy of sports and physical activity participation.

The Trust is currently running a number of inclusive programmes as part of Active Communities across West London.

Family Sports

The aim of our inclusive family programme is to engage both children and their parents through fun and innovative sports activities. This has been popular in the communities we work in and we are aiming to create stronger and healthier communities as a result!

Adult’s activities

Our adult’s sessions are sports and fitness classes with a difference. The aim is to make friends and enjoy local amenities through sport. All sessions are suitable for inactive participants as well as those with a physical or learning disability.

MIND sessions

As well as activities above, we also run specific sports sessions for people with a mental health diagnosis through our partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Mind. This includes a weekly walking football, weekly table tennis and a running club. The aim of this programme is to provide people with a mental health diagnosis a safe and secure place to enjoy inclusive sports.

Place2Play

Every person should have an inspirational Place to Play

Place2Play is an inclusive “pop-up play” programme which utilises parks and open spaces in 15 London open spaces and parks across Brent, Ealing, LBHF, and RBKC & Wandsworth.

The aim of our inclusive family programme is to engage children through fun and innovative sports activities whilst also educating parents on the benefits of community sport. This has been very popular and beneficial in the communities we work in. Consequently many families have documented since attending the session their confidence, self-esteem and family bond has improved.

Time Out Together is London Sports Trust’s pioneering new program of activities that supports parents and carers dealing with children with special educational needs.

We aim to promote social and mental wellbeing through our free weekly activities ranging from coffee mornings, cooking sessions, city farming, art therapy, board games and fun physical activity sessions. Wellbeing activities like these are incredibly beneficial for parents and carers, providing them with a mental release from daily stressors that come with caring for special needs children.

We also organise free educational and entertaining trips such as our group outings to Hamleys and the Apple Store.

If you would like to get involved with this project or fancy coming along to any future trips please do not hesitate to contact
